There’s something special about this time of year — the first blooms appearing, the warmth returning, and the soft glow of longer days. It always feels like a fresh beginning, and one of my favorite seasons to photograph families.

After more than 18 years of documenting families, I’ve learned how to create a session that feels effortless and natural — keeping little ones engaged while allowing parents to relax and simply enjoy the moment together.

The calendar is now open for March through June, during some of the most beautiful weeks of the year, when the landscape is full of life and color — the perfect setting for timeless, light-filled images.

I know the thought of choosing outfits and hoping everyone cooperates can feel overwhelming. That’s why I guide you through every step—from wardrobe suggestions to preparing the kids—so you can arrive feeling confident and relaxed. My goal is to make the entire experience effortless and enjoyable for your family.

And when your gallery is complete, you’ll have more than just photos—you’ll have a beautiful, tangible reminder of this season of your life, preserved with intention.

What’s Included

60 Minutes of Shooting Time

We take plenty of time to allow for everyone to unwind and get comfortable, which in turn allows me to document your true family dynamic and love. We will not be rushed! We will have fun, let the kids play and interact, love on each other, and create photos that evoke feelings every time you look back on them.

Password Protected Online Gallery

You will be able to instantly view and download your images once you receive your gallery link. You can also share this gallery with family and friends. They will have the ability to view your session and order any prints, which is one less thing for your to worry about!

High Resolution Files

No need to choose which images you want to keep. I will be delivering the entire set of edited, full resolution images.

FAQs

What should we wear?

I will say, matching is not my favorite, but I always encourage my client’s to coordinate your family’s look. I know it is easier said than done, but try not to stress too much about wardrobe. Sometimes it is easiest to pick your outfit first, and then coordinate everyone else around YOU! Or if you have one adorable outfit you KNOW you want to include for one of your kiddos, then plan around that! I am always happy to help offer any input or ideas to make this as EASY and STRESS FREE as possible!

Do you offer mini sessions?

I offer full sessions for several reasons. I believe in spending time with my clients. This time allows us to capture more than just smiles, but we can capture moments and the essence of each child. The parents begin to relax after the stress of getting everyone ready and driving to their shoot, the children let their guard down and begin to show their true personalities.

It simply is not possible to capture the quality of images that my clients expect in 15 minutes, when there is another family waiting in the wings for their session. My goal is to provide a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and mini sessions leave everyone stressed hoping your kids cooperate to get every possible combination of photos. With that being said, I do on occasion offer special, themed mini sessions. Keep up with our email list to find out about any upcoming options.

What about the weather?

As we all know, weather in St. Louis can be a little wild to say the least. I have several make up days blocked off on my calendar should we have to reschedule due to inclement weather. We make these decisions the morning/afternoon of your shoot since the forecast can often be so very wrong.
